The AI Health Counsellor represents a groundbreaking collaboration between Latote Technology Limited and the School of Biomedical Sciences at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. This innovative educational tool creates an immersive metaverse clinical environment where health professional students can practice their diagnostic and communication skills through realistic patient interactions.
Advanced AI Technology
At the core of this project is our sophisticated AI system powered by fine-tuned LLama-3.1-8b language model architecture. We’ve meticulously trained this model using extensive datasets of prenatal checkup conversations and clinical scenarios involving inborn errors of metabolism, with a special focus on conditions such as:
- Phenylketonuria (PKU)
- Hyperammonemia (Types I and II)
- Urea Cycle Disorders
- Citrullinemia
The resulting AI Health Counsellor (AIhC) delivers remarkably authentic patient interactions that challenge students to apply their clinical knowledge in a safe, controlled environment.
